About PurePro Boilers

We install, repair and service PurePro boilers across Long Island, and we stock the common parts for the oil and gas models. Our factory-trained techs answer no-heat calls 24/7, and every replacement starts with a free estimate.

PurePro is the house brand of F.W. Webb, the plumbing and heating supply company. In 2025, Webb rebranded PurePro as a portfolio of more than 1,200 products for contractors, from boilers and indirect tanks to valves and boiler chemicals.

The boilers come in two families. Advantage is a conventional cast iron line for oil, gas and steam. TRIO is a three-pass cast iron boiler that Webb has sold since about 2007, now offered as the TRIO MAX and MAX H2O. The spec sheets say USA made, but they don't name the factory, and Advantage service parts come through F.W. Webb.

PurePro Boilers for Long Island Homes

Oil heat is still common on Long Island, and the Advantage oil boiler is built for it. It's a wet-base cast iron design made for a standard chimney, and PurePro lists an 8 by 8 inch, 15 foot chimney for every oil size. If your chimney is cracked or unlined, we'll check it before anything else.

Some older Long Island homes still heat with steam radiators. The Advantage gas steam boiler comes in six sizes for those homes, and steam boilers need near-boiler piping done right to stay quiet.

Getting hot water from the boiler? The tankless coil on the Advantage oil boiler is rated 3.00 to 4.75 GPM depending on size. PurePro requires a tempering valve on that coil so tap water doesn't come out scalding.

Warranty

PurePro Boiler Warranty

Ask us for the full warranty sheet for your model. Terms on parts other than the heat exchanger and labor are set in each warranty document.

On top of the manufacturer's coverage, Domino backs every installation with a 1-year labor warranty.

  • Advantage oil, gas hot water and gas direct vent: limited lifetime warranty on the cast iron heat exchanger.
  • Advantage gas steam: 10-year limited warranty.
  • TRIO MAX: 20-year transferable warranty, so it can pass to the next owner if you sell the house.

PurePro vs Buderus Boilers

For oil homes, the closest match to a PurePro is a Buderus cast iron boiler. Both are non-condensing and both burn oil cleanly when tuned.

The Buderus G115WS is rated 87% AFUE and can vent through a chimney or straight out a side wall. The Advantage oil boiler runs 86.0% to 87.0% AFUE and is built for a chimney, but it offers a tankless coil for hot water. Warranty terms differ: Buderus covers its heat exchanger against leaks through year 10, then pro-rates it, for the first owner only. Advantage hot water models carry a limited lifetime heat exchanger warranty, and TRIO MAX's 20-year warranty transfers. Compare both on our boiler brands page or the Buderus boiler page.

Repair & Service

PurePro Boiler Repair and Service

PurePro's manual calls for checking the oil burner and controls, cleaning the flueways, and inspecting the chimney and low water cutoff every year. That's our standard tune-up, with a combustion test. We stock nozzles, filters, electrodes, HydroStat controls, circulators and relief valves, and we carry a spare nozzle as the manual suggests.

  • No heat on an oil model: a plugged nozzle or oil filter, or a burner lockout.
  • Burner shuts off with the low water light on: low boiler water, or a fault in the HydroStat and its Electro-Well.
  • Soot or smoke smell: dirty flueways or a burner out of adjustment.
  • Gas model won't light: a pilot or igniter fault, or a stuck vent damper.
  • Steam boiler surging or banging: a dirty boiler, a wrong water line or poor near-boiler piping.
  • Weak hot water from the coil: scale in the tankless coil or a failing tempering valve.
Installation

PurePro Boiler Installation and Replacement

Price depends on fuel, boiler size, chimney liner or direct vent, steam or hot water, tankless coil or indirect tank, and piping changes. Call for a quote, or see our boiler service page.

  1. Free estimate: we check your fuel, chimney, piping and how you make hot water.
  2. Heat loss calculation, so the section count fits your house.
  3. Choose Advantage or TRIO, with or without a tankless coil, or add an indirect tank.
  4. Remove the old boiler, set the PurePro, and connect the venting and near-boiler piping.
  5. Fire, tune with a combustion analyzer, and test the low water cutoff and safeties.

FAQ

PurePro Boiler FAQs

Common questions about this boiler brand on Long Island.

1Who makes PurePro boilers?

PurePro is F.W. Webb's own brand. The spec sheets say the boilers are USA made but don't name the factory.

2Are PurePro boilers high efficiency?

No. They're standard-efficiency cast iron boilers, rated about 82% to 87.3% AFUE depending on model, not condensing boilers.

3Can a PurePro boiler make my hot water?

Yes. Advantage oil boilers and the TRIO MAX H2O can include a tankless coil, or any PurePro hot water boiler can heat an indirect tank.

4Do you install PurePro steam boilers?

Yes. We install, repair and service the Advantage gas steam boiler.

5How often should a PurePro oil boiler be serviced?

Once a year. PurePro's manual says to inspect the flueways at least yearly, ideally before heating season, and to have the burner and controls checked every year.
