1What's your minimum delivery of discount oil on Long Island?

Our minimum order quantity is 25 gallons.

2What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Amex, and Discover credit and debit cards, and Cash on Delivery (COD).

We do not accept checks or money orders.

3When will I receive my delivery?

Most Long Island home heating oil orders are delivered within 72 hours. The majority are delivered the next day under normal weather and operational conditions.

We will always inform you of any delays.

4What are the current oil prices on Long Island?

Today's prices are posted on our homepage and order page for your convenience.

5When is payment due for my heating oil delivery?

If paying by credit or debit card, you'll be charged at the time you place your order.

Cash on Delivery (COD) customers pay the driver at the time of delivery.

6Do you charge any additional fees?

Yes. Additional fees apply for same-day and emergency deliveries.

Applicable taxes also apply (2.5% sales tax in Suffolk County). Standard orders have no extra fees.

7What if my tank doesn't take all the gallons I ordered?

We'll only charge you for the number of gallons you actually receive.

However, higher volume deliveries receive lower per-gallon prices, so if your tank takes a smaller quantity than ordered, your price per gallon may be adjusted higher than originally quoted.

8Why did I receive fewer gallons than what I ordered?

Usually because your tank couldn't accept all the gallons you ordered. Heating oil tanks have a "usable capacity" slightly less than their actual capacity. For example, a 275 gallon tank has a usable capacity of about 256 gallons.

The remaining space allows for fuel expansion as it warms and helps avoid accidental spills. For safety and to prevent environmental contamination, the driver must stop pumping oil when the vent alarm indicates the tank is full.

9If heating oil prices go up before I receive my delivery, do I pay the higher price?

No. Once you place your order, you are guaranteed the quoted price.

10Do you provide Emergency Delivery?

Yes. We provide Emergency Delivery 24/7 with no time restrictions.

Please specify Emergency Delivery at the time of ordering. An additional fee applies for emergency orders.

11Do I need to be home when my heating oil is being delivered?

Usually not, unless there's no ready access to the fill of your fuel tank.

12Can I cancel my order?

Once you place an order, our automated system dispatches it right away and it may already be on a delivery vehicle on its way to you.

If another company has filled your tank in the meantime, an attempted delivery could result in an accidental oil spill or release on your property. If you need to cancel, please call us as soon as possible.

13What are "normal weather and operational conditions"?

Normal weather means typical conditions expected for the time of year. We will alert you when abnormal conditions exist.

Abnormal weather conditions that may cause delivery delays include:

  • Rain, snow, sleet, ice, or other poor weather
  • Prolonged low winter temperatures that cause an unusual spike in demand
  • Driveways or parking lots that delivery trucks cannot safely access, typically due to snow and ice

Abnormal operational conditions that may cause delays include:

  • Limited fuel availability (terminal closures, restricted access, supply shortages)
  • Mechanical breakdowns that limit our ability to perform deliveries
  • Labor actions such as work stoppages, slowdowns, or strikes
