About York Furnaces

If yours is acting up, we can usually fix it on the first visit. We install, repair and service York gas furnaces across Long Island, and we stock the common parts. Our factory-trained technicians are on call 24/7 when the heat goes out.

York is one of the oldest names in heating and cooling. Bosch Home Comfort Group says the brand draws on more than 150 years of experience. For a long time York was a Johnson Controls brand. In August 2025, Johnson Controls sold its residential and light commercial HVAC business to the Bosch Group.

Today York residential furnaces are made by BHC Residential and Light Commercial, part of Bosch Home Comfort Group, under a license to use the York name. Coleman HVAC and Luxaire are sister brands in the same group. York's warranty and registration pages are still active under the new owner. See how York compares on our furnace brands page.

York Furnaces for Long Island Homes

Space is the first thing we check. The TM9V, TM9E and Y92E all have a compact 33-inch cabinet, so they slide into low basements, crawlspace openings and closets. That shorter height also leaves room for a taller AC coil on top.

If you have a two-story house with one floor always colder, look at the Affinity YP9C or TM9V. Both work with York's Hx3 communicating zoning system, which splits the house into zones with their own thermostats.

York's current gas furnace lineup has no oil models. If you heat with oil, you can switch to gas, keep oil with a furnace from another maker, or move to a heat pump. We also service and repair older York oil furnaces that are still running. Every TM9V can also be converted to propane (LP) for homes without a gas main.

Warranty

York Furnace Warranty

York's furnace pages list a lifetime heat exchanger warranty and a 10-year parts limited warranty. The catch is registration. You have to register online within 90 days of installation, or the parts coverage drops to a standard 5 years.

We register it online for you on install day, so you don't have to track the deadline.

On top of the manufacturer's coverage, Domino backs every installation with a 1-year labor warranty.

York vs Coleman Furnaces

York and Coleman HVAC are sister brands in Bosch Home Comfort Group, and their furnaces are close cousins. Coleman sells a TM9V too, with the same 96% AFUE, two-stage burner, variable-speed blower and 33-inch cabinet. Coleman's Echelon CP9C is a 98% modulating furnace that adjusts in 1% steps, much like York's Affinity YP9C.

Both brands list a lifetime heat exchanger and 10-year parts warranty with registration in 90 days. The difference is mostly branding and which supply houses carry them. Pick the one your installer can support with parts and service.

Repair & Service

York Furnace Repair and Service

We stock the common parts for York furnaces, including igniters, flame sensors, pressure switches, control boards, ECM motors and filters. A yearly tune-up covers the burner, flame sensor, heat exchanger inspection, drain, vent and a combustion test. Set up furnace service on Long Island before the heating season starts.

  • Furnace won't light: a worn hot surface igniter or a dirty flame sensor.
  • Inducer runs, burner never fires: a stuck pressure switch or a blocked condensate line.
  • Heat shuts off after a few minutes: a dirty flame sensor or an overheating limit switch from a clogged filter.
  • Blinking status light: York's self-diagnostic control module is showing a fault code.
  • Gurgling or water on the floor: a clogged condensate trap on a 95% or higher unit.
  • Uneven rooms on a zoned system: a damper or zone control issue on an Hx3 setup.
Installation

York Furnace Installation and Replacement

What drives price: the model and AFUE you choose, venting changes from chimney to PVC, gas line work, ductwork repairs, and adding zoning or a new AC coil. Call for a quote and we'll go over each option.

  1. We measure your home's heat loss to pick the right size.
  2. We check your gas line, venting, ductwork and the furnace space.
  3. We remove the old unit, set the new York furnace and install venting and a condensate drain.
  4. We test gas pressure, combustion, temperature rise and airflow.
  5. We register the furnace for you within 90 days.

FAQ

York Furnace FAQs

Common questions about this furnace brand on Long Island.

1Who makes York furnaces now?

Bosch Home Comfort Group. Johnson Controls sold its residential HVAC business to Bosch in August 2025, and Bosch uses the York name under license.

2Will my York furnace warranty still be honored?

It should be. York's current pages list the same lifetime heat exchanger and 10-year parts coverage, and its warranty and registration pages are still active.

3What's the most efficient York furnace?

The Affinity YP9C, at up to 98% AFUE. It's a modulating furnace that adjusts its heat output in 1% steps.

4Does York make oil furnaces?

Not in its current gas furnace lineup. York's furnace page shows gas models only, so oil homes need a conversion or a different brand. An older York oil furnace you already own is something we still repair and maintain.

5What happens if I don't register my York furnace?

Your parts warranty drops to 5 years. Register online within 90 days of installation to get the full 10 years.
