Lennox Heat Pumps for Long Island Homes

The SL22KLV is the one we point oil customers toward. Lennox says it delivers warm comfort in temperatures as low as -20°F, and it's ENERGY STAR Most Efficient for cold climate in 2025. The Elite EL18KSLV also uses Lennox's cold climate technology in a slim cabinet.

Lot size is a real issue in a lot of Nassau neighborhoods. The EL18KSLV and Merit ML15KSPV are slim-design units, and Lennox says the ML15KSPV cabinet is up to 40% smaller than similar units. That can make the difference between a legal setback and a variance.

For the PSEG Long Island whole-house rebate, you need a participating contractor, a Manual J, a system sized at 100 to 120% of the home's heating load and a unit on the NEEP cold climate list. Domino is a PSEG Long Island participating contractor. If your boiler or furnace stays as backup, dual fuel controls are required. The rebate is $4,000 at market rate and up to $7,500 for income-qualified homes.

Warranty

Lennox Heat Pump Warranty

Elite models carry a 10-year limited warranty on the compressor and 5 years on covered parts. Merit models carry 5 years on both. Register within 60 calendar days of installation to add the extension.

Lennox gives you a choice when you register. Merit and Elite owners get either 10 years of parts in total, or 7 years of parts plus 3 years of labor. Dave Lennox Signature owners get either 12 years of parts, or 10 years of parts plus 3 years of labor. We'll explain both options before we register it for you.
