HTP started in 1974 as a designer and fabricator of heat exchangers for the boiler and solar industries. Today it builds boilers, water heaters, indirect tanks and combination appliances, and its website says HTP is part of Ariston USA.

Most oil-heated houses here run a boiler, and that boiler can make your hot water too. A SuperStor Ultra EVO hooks up with a zone valve or a circulator pump, needs no exhaust piping, and HTP rates the 60-gallon size at 266 gallons in the first hour at 140°F.

Converted from oil to gas and worried about the chimney? The Phoenix Light Duty is sealed combustion and vents through 2-inch PVC, CPVC or ULC S636 pipe, so it can exit a side wall. It also has built-in auxiliary taps that can feed an air handler, radiant heat or an extra storage tank.

In an all-electric home, the Everlast line uses low watt density titanium elements meant to cut scale buildup. The Demand Response versions can enroll in a utility demand response program.

Warranty

HTP Water Heater Warranty

With HTP, registration makes the difference. The 2026 catalog lists a limited lifetime tank warranty for residential SuperStor Ultra EVO tanks with 1 year on components, and for Everlast Residential tanks with 6 years on components, both with online registration. Skip the registration and HTP's Everlast page says you get a 10-year tank and 1-year components warranty instead.

The Phoenix Light Duty works differently. The catalog lists a 7-year limited tank warranty, upgradable to 10 years, plus 1 year on parts. We register it for you after the install, so the longer terms aren't lost to a form nobody mailed.

HTP vs Bradford White Indirect Water Heaters

For boiler homes, the common matchup is the HTP SuperStor against Bradford White's PowerStor. Bradford White's single wall PowerStor and double wall PowerStor2 use a Vitraglas tank lining, and only its PowerStor SS has a stainless steel tank and heat exchanger. Every SuperStor Ultra EVO is stainless, with no anode rod.

We stock the common parts, including T&P relief valves, drain valves, Everlast elements, aquastats, zone valves and condensate neutralizer media. A yearly visit flushes sediment, tests the relief valve, checks the vent and condensate on gas units and confirms the boiler loop on indirect tanks. We look at your fuel, your boiler, how much hot water you use and where the heater can go.
We pick the HTP type and size: indirect for boiler homes, Phoenix or Hydra Smart for gas, Everlast for electric.
You get a written quote naming the model and the venting or boiler piping plan.
We remove the old heater and install the HTP to code, with a T&P valve and an expansion tank where required.
We start it, test it and register the warranty with HTP for you.

No. HTP's Phoenix, Everlast and SuperStor Ultra tanks are 316L stainless steel, and HTP says they don't need anode rods.

2Can an HTP Indirect Tank Run Off My Oil Boiler?

Yes, in most homes. The SuperStor takes its heat from boiler water through a coil, so the boiler's fuel doesn't matter; we size the tank to what your boiler can put out.

Not in its 2026 water heating catalog. HTP's home electric models are Everlast tanks with heating elements, rated 0.90 to 0.94 UEF.

It depends on the model and on registration. Registered residential SuperStor Ultra EVO and Everlast tanks get a limited lifetime tank warranty, while the Phoenix Light Duty lists 7 years on the tank, upgradable to 10.
